Chili Cook-off this Saturday 2/28!

It’s been too cold for too long!
It’s time to turn up the HEAT!!

The second annual Chili Cook-Off will be held TOMORROW on Saturday, February 28 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The competition is open to any of our cooks any age or skill level. The winner (to be selected by our special guests - the men from New Creation Men’s shelter) will have Braggin’ Rights to be called the Life Bridge CHILIMASTER!

Chili Contestants:

Bring your favorite kind of Chili

Meaty ~ Spicy ~ Mild ~ Veggie ~ Traditional or even Cincinnati Style!

Hot or Not ~ it’s your choice (please post a note if it’s Hot!)

Please bring enough to share and include any extra toppings or garnishments for your entry.

No chili?  No Problem!  We hope that everyone will join us in chili sampling and desert.  Have a friend that likes chili?  Bring them along!

Student Luncheon Sign Up

Pulled Pork Day
Sunday, March 8th! 

We are serving pulled pork for the College Student Luncheon immediately following the 11 am service and you are invited!

Everyone is welcome to stay and eat, but we are also encouraging folks to pray, provide, and participate in these ways:

Pray:

• For the students that the seeds of God's love will take root and grow deep. 
• For those that cook, serve, contribute and give of their time and gifts to bless others.

Participate:

• cooking, serving, clean up, being an ambassador to the students.

Provide:

• Paper/Plastic Products (Plates, Forks, Napkins) 
• Hamburger Buns
• Condiments - BBQ Sauce
• Sides such as potato salad, macaroni salad, coleslaw, etc.
• Chips
• Desserts like cookies, cake or other sweet treats
• Drinks

A great workday was had on February 21st!  We have light switches for the worship center lights!!!  Remodeling of the camera booth has begun.  Clean up in the basement continues and materials are coming in to begin the insulation work! What a blessing!  Great job to all who are helping to make Life Bridge a more welcoming place by praying, providing, and/or participating.

Toolbox Ministries: Work Day This Saturday!

Toolbox Ministries will be working on cleaning and organizing the basement (so we can find and use what we have!), insulating the Worship Area (save on the utility bill and keep us warmer!), and continued work around the baptistry area.

Beginning Saturday, February 21st Toolbox Ministries will begin meeting every other Saturday through March as the building usage allows.  Mondays will continue to meet every week.

As we look at David's life, we will see that being after God is a lifestyle - it takes commitment.  We will also see that David was prepared to face Goliath and the big challenges in life because he was faithful in being after God is the small everyday things.
