Student and Mother's Day Luncheon

Celebrate Mom's Day with
the special women in your life!

We had a great luncheon this past Sunday as we gathered to enjoy Fried Chicken and all the fixins!

We have one more opportunity this year to honor not only our students but also our moms and the special women in our lives.  On Sunday, May 10th, the men are pulling out the stops and cooking for Mom's Day!  So don't fret over where to take mom for lunch or how you, with the assistance of your kids, are going make a meal worthy of mom.  Combine your efforts with others and join us here at Life Bridge for a special time of celebration!

Kairos Cookies Needed for Westville Correctional

Kairos Indiana State Prison Outreach took place on April 9-12 in Michigan City.  They had 30 guests who learned of the love that Jesus has for them and now the light of Christ shines a bit brighter in the darkness of Indiana State Prison.

All the men testified to their spiritual condition when they gathered for the weekend and to the change Jesus was already working to make in their lives.  They hope to continue walking with the Lord daily with the assistance of the church there and ongoing Kairos ministries. This can be a very difficult thing to do in that environment, but with God nothing is impossible.

Toolbox Ministries: Final Push on the Building!

Toolbox Ministries continues to do an awesome job at making the safety improvements to required by the Fire Department.  Our deadline is April 26th.

Remaining work involves:

• Drywall work on the basement ceiling
• Panic bars installation on the doors
• Electrical work - outlets for projectors and more
• Miscellaneous items

Men's Shelter

Thanks for all that made this first weeks of Men's Shelter happen!  While we had some bumps in the road as we prepare to house the men upstairs, God was no less glorified and the men served!

Celebrating In Concert

Well, this blog is titled God Sightings, so it is only appropriate that we see evidence of God at work through the many things we communicate here.

Life Bridge In Concert was no exception!  It was a wonderful evening of watching people use their talents for God's glory.  We had a great showing from students as well as our more seasoned performers.
