Women’s Bible Study
Tuesdays 11:30 AM
This week’s topic: The Bible
Are you a woman feeling like you are stuck in one of life’s ruts? You hear talk of an abundant life in Christ, and victory over sinful patterns, but it seems to elude you? Maybe this group is for you.
It is not a 12 step program. It is not a counseling program. This is more than a study group.
It’s purpose is to be join together in the pursuit of God, or the “Higher Power”, and the life that He has for each of us. We will use God’s Word as our foundation, and strive to let His truth change us from the inside out.
We will begin at the Beginning. God will be leading the process. Along the way we will encourage one another in a grace filled environment, so that we can become the women that God calls us to be and experience the abundant life He has planned.
Your friends are welcome. Your doubts are welcome. Your questions are welcome. Come with an open heart and see where God leads.
This will follow the Garden Walk Path and be tailored to those participating. Meeting time is 11:30 Tuesdays. Have questions? Please contact Traci Kersker at Traci@LifeBridgeAlive.com or call (219) 531-7777x11

Encounter Student Ministry: Five Love Languages
Sundays 6-8pm
Students Grades 6 and Up
With some statistics saying as much as 80-83% of kids feel unloved by their parents, it is time to broaden our scope of what love is and what it looks like. Much like this cartoon, when it comes to love we are often asking for something that is already being served up, only we don’t recognize it for what it is.On Sundays, we are will be:
- Teaching a variety of ways that people show and receive love
- Helping students understand more about themselves, their natural love languages
- Helping students to better recognize how much they are loved by others as they begin to redefine others’ actions and words as love.
- Empowering students to build/improve relationships with family, friends, and “neighbors” by being more purposeful and effective in communicating love in a way that they will receive it.
- Living a lifestyle of worship (honoring our God and magnifying Him in the world around us) as we love purposefully and effectively.

Celebrating CIY MOVE!
Seven of us attended CIY MOVE Conference for High School students at Milligan College in Johnson City, TN last week. There were approximately 800 in attendance. It was a week loaded with fun, great teaching, moving worship, and meaningful conversations.
Throughout the week, we learned that Kingdom Workers are loved, rescued, united, changed, and sent. It is hard to put into words the impact of weeks such as this… the opportunity to step out of everyday struggles, no electronics, connecting with people as we all strive to connect with God, conversations in a safe environment, unconditional love and encouragement… These weeks make an eternal impact.

Vagabond Cafe! What’s Up?
Our coffee and other drinks are “pay-what-you’re-able.” This means when you walk in you will be offered a drink but not from behind a register. If you choose to donate there are recommended amounts but that is not at all an expectation. Donations are greatly appreciated to help cover our operating expenses but whatever we get beyond that is donated to one of our local ministry partners such as New Creation Men’s Shelter, Life Bridge Christian Church, and others who work directly with our local community offering help and care to those in need.
We are a Christian organization and operate underneath Intentional Valparaiso and Life Bridge Christian Church. We welcome all individuals, regardless of religion or spiritual belief. We do take discretion in the organizations that we partner with and promote, but ultimately exist to serve and be a bridge from those in need to those who provide those goods and/or services.
Where else has Vagabond been?
- Heath McNease Concert at this past week courtesy of First United Methodist Church! Vagabond served their refreshing coffees to those who attended.
- Yummy coffee drinks, fast internet, and a Minecraft server for Melody and Joy. Now we just need a second laptop so they don't fight over playing time. – Facebook
- Great people, great coffee, great music, fantastic purpose. – Facebook
- Information about needs-based ministries in our community. Check back frequently as this grows.
- Live Music as scheduled
- Community gaming opportunities (Minecraft and more!)
- Come by for a coffee, or plan on meeting someone here to share the environment and support the ministry
- Drop off used shirts, tees, or sweater donations (really any shirt with some stretch) in the designated basket. This supports a ministry, Stripes, who is committed to getting girls out of sex trafficking. While helping them heal and acclimate to a new life, they use these shirts to make rugs as a means of skill development, purpose, and financial support.
- Have some hours to serve? Become a Vagabond host and barista! Sign up with Vagabond at this link. Don’t worry about being left alone, someone will contact you concerning training. It’s a positive way to use your time, build community, and support a variety of ministries! All while enjoying the free WIFI and environment for yourself!
