How Many Sightings?

God is at work in us, though us, and all around us.

He is the Creator of the heavens and the earth.  He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. (Colossians 1:17 NIV)  Often times, though, we simply don't see Him.  We become complacent with the daily sunrise and forget the Eternal beauty in a simple act of kindness.

We need remind ourselves to pause and see God at work.
God Sightings gives me a simply way to "capture" some of these sights and share them with you.  Perhaps there will be a picture. (Or maybe you will have to settle with a word picture.)  I may be reporting on something that is done or sharing the plans of something yet to come.

In any case, these "God Sightings" will be posted throughout the week as I write them.  You can always watch for new sightings here.

At the end of the week, the sightings for the week will be compiled into an email newsletter and sent to your inbox.  Should you desire to receive these emails, you can subscribe to them here.

This isn't about the number of posts shared in any given day or week.  It's about taking the time to see God at work. It's about reminding me just how big a God we serve.  He is at work all around us, all the time.  Sometimes I can stop seeing that.  This will help me keep my eyes open.

It's also about sharing these Sightings so that you will look to see Him at work, too.  Perhaps God will use a Sighting to prompt you to encourage someone.  Maybe He will encourage you to join them in ministry.  Perhaps He will use a Sighting I see to show you where He is working in, around, or through you.  He wants to build His Body to be connected and healthy and growing.  From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. (Ephesians 4:16 NIV)

I am praying that this will be a blessing to you and that you will have "God sightings," too.

Walking with Him and you,
Pete
