Family Becomes Family

It's always a joy to watch someone make the decision to join God, receive His Grace, and walk with Him.  This week has brought a special joy to my heart.  I've watched families bringing their family to God's family.


Jeni Bolton has been praying for her sister, Becky, for many years now.  Her ministry to large groups of people (like 500 Turkeys) has always been purposeful about including her sister, family and friends.  Now, Becky has decided to "turn it over" to God.  Jeni had the pleasure of baptizing her own sister.  Her sister became her sister in Christ.  Not only that, Becky and Jeni baptized Becky's grandson the same day.

Family is bringing family to God's family.

Chuck & Melody Dudley has been very purposeful about raising their children to walk together with God.  Reading Scripture, storybooks, and simply talking about God is a part of Melody's pattern wherever they go in their home school day.  So, when Nolan saw his first baptism, he asked to be baptized himself.  Melody took the time to teach her son what it meant, learn what he understood, and follow-through with his decision.  She baptized her son.  Her son became her brother in Christ.

Family is bringing family to God's family.
