The past eight weeks Life Bridge has embarked on a journey through Crazy Love, a book by Francis Chan. (We've even been ordering the "slightly imperfect" books because they seem to fit us.)
The journey has been amazing.
I've had the pleasure of watching this part of His Body change over the past couple months. They're "going crazy."
Last night I "passed the baton" to several men who were at the church building ready to serve the homeless men in our area. The schedule throughout the night was filled with people who have a "crazy love" for God and people, so they helped house the homeless.
Tonight, students will be gathering together at two different homes to "hang out" and encourage one another in their faith. Their student leaders are "crazy" for God and these students, so they will be hanging out with these students, too, building Christ into their lives.
People are signing up to Feed the Need in Northwest Indiana, gathering food for the local food bank. Last year over 8,000 lbs of food was collected, creating the largest single-day collection in the food bank's history. This year, the team is excitedly looking forward to what God is going to do.
I'm receiving invitations to pray and support people from our church body who will be going to Kenya to minister to the people there - in some of the most poverty stricken parts of the world. God is amazing. His people are going "crazy" for Him. It's a sight to see.
As we move into the final couple weeks of this study, I get a strong sense that this is somehow only the beginning. God is beginning to do a work in and through His people who are becoming more contagious...more crazy for Him. It's a sight to see. I hope you see it, too. I love being a part of His Body and participating in His Plan. Do you?
