Intentional Valparaiso Joined Ministry Monday!

Nearly every Monday night at Life Bridge, you can find a group of people who desire to serve God in ministry.   We take time to hone our skills and think about how we can serve the body here better, as well as our community.  We coordinate for upcoming events, and we pray together asking God to guide us and go before us.

Occasionally, we get to hear from other Christian organizations in our community and discuss how we can work together to have a Kingdom impact.

This week at Ministry Monday our normal study and collaboration was followed by meeting with some young adults who call themselves Intentional Valparaiso.  IV is a new organization whose mission is to empower young adults who wish to fully engage in a lifestyle with Jesus by fostering active community through fellowship and community service.

This summer we began a campaign to be more purposeful in reaching out to college students, especially the VU campus, as we purchased ad space in their student planners and committed to serving lunch to them every 3 weeks.  We knew that more would be needed to reach out to them... but we moved ahead trusting that God would show us what to do next.

Last week, Frank was approached about the possibility of having a Bible Study here at Life Bridge for college age and young adults.  As they spoke, Frank invited them to Ministry Monday, where we all got to meet many of them, hear what they are trying to do, and about their need for  a meeting place.

As God led us to feed college students, He was also working in these young adults to provide community and spiritual food for the same group.  How awesome is it that we are working together beginning this week!   If you see them around, stop and introduced yourself to our partners in ministry.
