SICOM (Student International Conference on Missions)!
This past weekend Christian Burns, Lily York, and Jasmine Gasaway, Kent Hillman, and myself took off for Columbus, OH where we were challenged by:wonderful teaching and worship,- talking and praying with missionaries in the field in Poland,
- putting our faith into action as we packaged food for Lifeline Christian Mission & IDES and built walls for CrossRoads Mission for Cookson Hills
- and seeing the world through someone else's eyes through a film about a young south Asian women trapped in sex trafficking, her escape, her recovery and healing through a Rapha House facility.
Christian talks with Dave from Polish Christian Ministries |
They met people from many of our christian colleges, and to be completely honest, they loved their free frisbees!

These teens continue to make significant decisions in their walk with Christ. Events like this, show them that they are a part of something much bigger than they can imagine and that being on God's team doesn't mean that your options are limited in how you can serve. Actually it is the exact opposite... the possibilities are as limitless as our God!
I am always amazed by our students! They are incredibly accepting of others and as a result whether it is MOVE or a conference like SICOM, we also end up with a few other students tagging along. This trip was no exception as we had Andrew and Brooklyn join us for most of Saturday and Sunday morning. I just want to say thank you and well done to Lily, Jasmine, and Christian for letting God use you in this way! I look forward to seeing where God leads you!
