24 Hours of Prayer
Friday, November 20th 2pm – Saturday, November 21st 2pm
It is time for the most important part of our Thanksgiving/Christmas outreaches… It’s time to pray!While I know that much prayer has gone into projects like 500 Turkeys, Operation Christmas Child, and upcoming events such as our Thanksgiving Eve Pie Night and Christmas Programs/Services; as these events move from our hands into the hands of those receiving boxes [both of food (500 Turkeys) and care items, toys, and more (OCC)], and invitations, we need to pray.
We need to pray for:
- Families receiving Thanksgiving meals are not only fed physically, but also fed spiritually as they experience an outpouring of God’s love.
- That volunteers at 500 Turkeys events who don’t know Christ as their Lord and Savior will be drawn into a real relationship with Him as a result of what they participate in these next couple of weeks.
- For unity in ministry teams as events and outreaches are planned, prepared, and implemented. That they (our guests) will know Him by our love for one another.
- For OCC shoeboxes as they make their way around the world sharing not only personal care items and toys, but the Good News of Jesus and how to have a relationship with Him.
- Many of these shoeboxes reach into countries where Christians are persecuted for faith in Jesus. Pray for protection and perseverance as whole families are effected when kids come to faith.
- Pray for people in our homes, schools, work places, and neighborhoods, who need to be reached with Christ’s message of love.
- Pray for invitations to Thanksgiving Eve Pie Night, upcoming services including Christmas Eve, and the Family Christmas Program.
- Pray for the things God is laying on your heart… How is He asking you to live out your faith this season? How does He want you to make it real in your relationship with Him and with those closest to you?
